The second annual Westgate’s Arts in the Park will be held on Saturday, September 14th from 11 am until 7 pm. This community-friendly event is free and open to all. In addition to music and visual arts, the art of the spoken word will make its debut this year with slam poetry and a speakers’ platform using the Hyde Park model. This will provide an impromptu opportunity for residents to read, recite poetry or speak on topics that are passionate to them. Food trucks, craft vendors and children’s activities including face painting, hair painting and sugar skull workshops, are also part of the day’s offerings
